Creative expression is a means of healing, transformation and distilling life experiences. In my art I explore dualities and understanding multiple perspectives. I embrace intuition, emotion and thought in the creative process.

I was adopted from Korea into a white neighborhood in Seattle. Orphaned at two and adopted at three, I emerged into a world where I was different from those around me. I grew up traveling the world, and visiting museums with my mother. These valuable experiences exposed me to wonderful art from cultures around the world, opening my eyes to endless creative possibilities. My mother helped foster an appreciation for art and culture via travel.

As a trained teacher, I am inspired to leave a legacy via teaching and share my passion for authentic creative expression. I love exploration of techniques, tools and developing new processes. My paintings and drawings are acrylic, charcoal & pastel.
